WELCOME TO PELICAN WATCH
Whether you’re staying for a few nights or a full season, we’re glad to have you. Pelican Watch is a quiet, coastal community shaped by care, courtesy, and shared respect. As a guest, you’re part of what makes this place special. We ask all renters—short-term visitors and seasonal “snowbirds” alike—to help us preserve the beauty, peace, and neighborly spirit that define life here.
Please take a moment to review our community guidelines before settling in.
General RULES* & Guidelines
Be a good neighbor.
Keep noise to a minimum, especially at night. Avoid loud music, late-night gatherings, and disruptive behavior in shared spaces.
Keep it clean and tidy.
Dispose of garbage and recycling properly (guidelines below). Do not leave personal items, trash, or beach gear in shared areas. Do not hang towels, bathing suits or clothing on deck railings.
Respect shared spaces.
Treat common areas—like boardwalks, bike racks, garbage bays, and landscaping—with care. Leave things as you found them or better.
Observe quiet hours.
Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. During these hours, please keep voices and activity levels low, particularly on decks and in stairwells.
Supervise children and guests.
Children must be accompanied in common areas. Make sure all members of your group are aware of and follow community rules.
Follow parking rules.
Only park in designated spaces. Do not block roads, other vehicles, or emergency access areas. No golf carts or LSVs (low-speed vehicles) are permitted.
Pets (If allowed by your host).
Keep pets leashed at all times, clean up after them promptly, and avoid leaving them unattended on decks.
Know before you go.
Before checking out, review your rental host’s instructions and leave the unit and community spaces in good condition.
*Villa owners are individuals just like you, but they are financially responsible for their units—so please follow these rules to help avoid fines or fees being charged to them.
Garbage & Recycling
Use designated bays only.
All garbage and recycling must be placed in the community’s designated disposal areas. Do not leave trash bags outside your villa or in common areas.
Bag all trash securely.
Always use tied, heavy-duty trash bags. Loose garbage attracts wildlife and creates messes that impact your neighbors.
Place bags fully inside bins.
Never leave trash on top of bins or on the ground. If a bin is full, please use another one nearby. Overflowing bins quickly become a hazard and an eyesore.
Recycle responsibly.
Place recyclables (cardboard, plastic, glass, and cans) in the appropriate bins. Do not bag recyclables—leave them loose in the bin. Break down all cardboard boxes before placing them in a recycling bin to help conserve space and reduce overflow.
Bulk items are not allowed.
Large items (beach chairs, coolers, etc.) must not be left in or near garbage bays. If you have a question about disposal, please contact your rental host.
